Litres used = distance in km × consumption ÷ 100. Cost = litres × price per litre.
A worked example
A 100 km journey at 7 L/100 km and 1.50 per litre costs 10.50.

A common question
Can I use a distance in miles?
Yes. Miles are converted to kilometres. Fuel economy should still be entered in litres per 100 km.
